John Doan brings a truly special set of skills from the areas of human development, relationship, health care and artistic expression to his unique approach to working with people. He continues to garner recognition as both a Personal and Corporate Coach as well as a trainer for Organizational advancement. As a proponent of the transformative power of both relationships and the authentic expression of self, John is dedicated to helping people achieving the success they want in their lives both professionally and personally.

As a member of the International Coach Federation, John has earned the designation of P.C.C. (”Professional Certified Coach”, conferred in December of 2006) and “Certified Professional Coactive Coach” (C. P.C.C. from The Coaches Training Institute, C.T.I. in June 2006), accreditations showing that John is a professional. He has created a very successful and international Coaching practice with On The Threshold Coaching and Training. His special areas of expertise include Executive Coaching, Developing Teams for sustainable productivity, Personal and Relationship Coaching, Leadership Development, Training and Coaching in Emotional Intelligence and Career enhancement/transition.

Leadership Development is one of John’s passions. In 2004, John completed the “Co-Active Leadership Program” with C.T.I. that creates leaders with co-active skills that make a difference in both success and fulfillment, whether leading inside an organization, as sole proprietor of a business, in their personal life or in their community. The importance of support leadership development in others is further demonstrated in John’s work with Leadership Waterloo and Directed Potential Leadership Coaching.

With special training in Relationship and Team Systems, John works with couples, teams and groups to enable people to transform their work and lives through intentional, authentic relationships. He has attained the designation of ORSCC - ”Organization and Relationship Systems Certified Coach” from The Center for Right Relationship in 2009, the first of its kind in the professional Coaching World.  This distinguishes John as one of the leaders in this field bringing professional credibility and skill to go along with his passion for this work.

Additionally, John continues to be a highly regarded E.I. Coach, bringing this work to an international audience, including individuals and corporations on both coasts of Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia.

John brings over 25 years of experience as a health care professional – holding people’s trust and helping them to achieve better health as a practicing dental surgeon. Now, as an Executive and Team Coach, he empowers his clients to a different kind of health – sustainable professional and personal success that includes the health of the mind, body and spirit.
