John Doan’s unique approach to working with people includes an exceptional skill set carved from experience in the areas of human development, relationship management, health care and artistic expression. And his approach clearly works; personal and corporate clients repeatedly choose to partner with John because of his fierce desire to support them in creating meaningful change and action – on their terms.

In over 25 years of experience as a practicing dental surgeon John held people’s trust while helping them achieve better health. Now as an Executive and Team Coach and Trainer (since 2003), John helps his clients achieve lasting professional and personal success through:

As a member of the International Coach Federation, John has earned the designations of

  • C.P.C.C. “Certified Professional Coactive Coach” in June, 2006
  • P.C.C.  – “Professional Certified Coach” in December, 2006
  • O.R.S.C.C. – “Organization and Relationship Systems Certified Coach in July 2009

As a Relationship and Team Systems Certified Coach, John helps teams and relationships transform by increasing both their Productivity and Positivity for results that last.  He is one of only a few hundred people worldwide with this professional designation (O.R.S.C.C.). John is also the supporting Executive and Team Coach for the Richard Ivey Business School’s EMBA program (The University of Western Ontario). From its inception, John has coached on the award winning International Prism team for BC Housing. 

John is also a proud father and has a passion for photography.

Leadership Development is one of John’s passions. In 2004, John completed the “Co-Active Leadership Program” with CTI. This program creates leaders with co-active skills who can increase success and fulfillment, whether leading inside an organization, as sole proprietor of a business, in their personal life or at the community level.

John also supports Leadership Development in others via his work with Leadership Waterloo Region and Directed Potential Leadership Coaching.

John is an accredited Emotional Intelligence coach and is also certified to deliver a number of key assessments for individuals (including select 360’s and self-assessments) and two of the best ones for teams (Team Coaching International’s Team Diagnostic™ and The Culture Survey™ from the Leadership Circle).
